My homage to Cristobal Balenciaga: "Amphora line" dress (from his Winter 1960 collection). 

(only the center-detail is shown here, with a lateral spotlight illuminating the picture taken in the dark). 

Technical info: "Hommage à Balenciaga" was made with soft pastels on canvas. Its size is 160 x 100 cm.

For the storyboard: Work started on 31 December 2003, and completed same day shortly before midnight.

Location: "Hommage" can be viewed in the main room of the THIERRY House in Belgium (on appointment)
